Recap

What a busy week we have had!!! But boy oh boy, it was a magical one! We had the most amazing time discussing all things fantasy and fairy-tale!

The topics of our discussions this week were Fairies, Unicorns, Dragons, Pirates and Mermaids. We also discussed traditional fairy-tales and learned that almost every fairy-tale starts with the words “Once upon a time…” and end with “and they all lived happily ever after.”

We are so impressed with how much our Busy Bugs actually now about fairy-tales and fantasy creatures and loved hearing their own thoughts and stories about everything we were learning about.

For art this week, we made all of our stunning art studio Fantasy pieces for our Art Expo. We made Busy Bugs climbing magical bean stalks that lead to a castle on the clouds, the most adorable pirates and mermaids with the Bug’s faces on them, tiny little egg carton toadstools or “fairy chairs” and a HUGE box construction Dragon!

Thank you to all the Moms and Dads who joined us at our amazing Art Expo. We hope you had the most amazing time admiring all the work that both the children and teachers put in to make it such a magical evening!

Please remember Mommy/Daddy and Me yoga on Friday! Don’t forget your yoga gear! If you can’t make it, please let us know and one of us will step in and be “mommy for the day”.

And with all of that being said, remember to always let your conscience be your guide, Hakuna Matata, happily ever afters do exist, just keep swimming and all it takes to fly is faith, trust… and just a little pixie dust!

This Week’s Theme: Under the Sea

Show and Tell will only happen next week Friday after both weeks of Under the Sea.

WE DO!

Father’s Day and Sport

We spent lots of time this week asking our Bugs questions about their Dads; What their names are, if they know how old their Dads are, what work Dad does, whether he plays any sports… And we while didn’t always get answers to all of these questions, one thing we can say for certain, is that very clear that our Bugs just LOVE their Dads!

The Farm: Farm Animals

We learned all about the different noises these animals make, and the different names that the boy and girl animals have, such as hen and rooster or sheep and ram. We learned the names of the baby animals, like chick, lamb and piglet! It was such fun pretending to be these animals at ring time! Our children have very vivid imaginations and have a lot of existing knowledge about farm animals.
