This week, our Busy Bugs hopped into the wonderful world of frogs and ponds The children were very curious and excited to learn more about these little creatures. During our theme discussions, we explored so many interesting facts together. We spoke about what frogs like to eat (such as insects and bugs), where they live (near ponds, dams, and other wet places), and how they look and feel. The Bugs loved describing their colours and textures—some thought frogs looked smooth and slippery, while others said they must feel bumpy. We also had a lot of fun pretending to make the different sounds that frogs make, which had everyone giggling and joining in.

🎨 Art Time

We began our week with a special art project that is being kept safely for our upcoming Art Expo. The children put so much effort and creativity into their work, and the results are absolutely precious! Parents, please don’t worry—after the expo, every single art piece will be coming home. The only reason we are holding onto them for now is because they are all just too cute and meaningful not to showcase together. The Busy Bugs are so proud of what they’ve created, and we can’t wait for you to see them!

FunFit Sports

For sports this week, the Bugs worked on their gross motor skills with a fun and colourful activity. They had to throw the correct coloured ball into the matching coloured hole. This was a great way to practice hand-eye coordination while also strengthening their ability to recognize and sort colours. It was amazing to watch how quickly they picked it up and how confidently they completed the task. We are very proud of how well they listened and followed instructions—it was a big “well done” moment for our Bugs!

🧘 Busy Bugs Yoga 🐞

Yoga this week was full of energy and calm all at once! We started our sessions with gentle morning stretches and warm-ups to get our bodies moving and ready for the day. Our theme song of the week was “Five Little Speckled Frogs” 🐸, which tied in beautifully with our poses. The Bugs practiced frog, mountain, table, snake, downward dog, and tree poses. They had so much fun hopping like frogs and stretching tall like trees! After the movement part, we focused on breathing exercises—balloon 🎈, five-star 🌟, candle 🕯, and bunny 🐰 breaths. These breathing techniques help the children learn to calm their bodies and minds, and we ended each session with a peaceful moment of quiet time.

🐟 Pond Visit Adventure

One of the absolute highlights of the week was our visit to the pond. The Bugs were overjoyed to see real-life pond creatures up close! They spotted fish swimming around and even noticed tiny tadpoles wriggling in the water. Their little faces lit up with excitement, and it was so special to see their sense of wonder come alive. The children loved asking questions and pointing out what they could see. It was truly a magical moment and such a perfect way to bring our frog and pond theme to life.

🌸 A Lovely Week Together

The Busy Bugs showed so much excitement and joy in every activity, and it made the classroom feel alive with curiosity and fun.
