Ii – Insects
This week was all about Insects and Bees – and wow, the Bugs impressed us with how much they already knew about this exciting theme! 🐝🦋🐞
During ring time, we had some wonderful discussions about the many different types of insects we get, their bright colours, and of course, how many legs they all have. The Bugs also learnt that some insects can be dangerous, like venomous spiders, and we reminded them that we should never touch those types of insects.
To kick off our week, we played a fun group activity where Teacher Monette placed pictures of different insects all around the classroom. The Bugs had to listen carefully and follow instructions about which insect they needed to find and touch. They did an absolutely amazing job listening and participating!
Next, we enjoyed a matching game, where the Bugs paired up the same insects with their friends. This activity helped them practice their observation skills and teamwork – and once again, they did so well!
For art, the Bugs created the cutest little bees! 🐝 They had to carefully copy the same bee that Teacher Monette had made, and the results were just too adorable to keep to ourselves. We decided to save this special project for our upcoming Art Expo! Along with this, we also worked hard on a few other secret art expo projects that we can’t wait for you to see – they are going to be extra special and showcase everything we’ve been working on throughout the year.
✨ Reminder: Please continue to send us any empty cereal boxes (750g and 1kg sizes). These will be very useful for some of our upcoming activities. Thank you so much for your support!
We wanna know folks ... what is your favourite insect?
