Vv – Vegetables

Theme discussions this week in the Curious crew consisted of discussion the difference between fruits and vegetables, we watched videos on this discovering that fruits come from the flower of the plant and vegetables come from the root. We focused on counting to 15 and stopping , this has become so easy for the class , they have been enjoying the challenge. We took some time to focus on our alphabet, practicing the name and the sound of the letters.

During morning ring we practiced our concert songs as well as war cry’s for our upcoming sports day !

For art this week , we did a still life painting , each child had a turn to sit and look at the basket of fruit and paint what they saw. The end result of these art pieces were nothing short of amazing ! We were very proud of our very Arty and creative Curious crew kiddies.

We also did a fun activity where the children had to copy a picture that was out on the board for them , we call this guided drawing , and this was a fun challenge that the class tackled like champs !!

These pictures came out so amazing , the class tried so hard.

We did fun little worksheets too , the one was based on our shape of the week ; circle , the worksheet had circles on it , and their job was to create things out of the circles eg ; ball , apple , sun , flower etc.

The worksheet was based on our number 15; their job was to draw only 15 apples on the tree and then complete the colouring of the picture.

FUNFIT SPORTS

This week we focused on our races that will be in our upcoming sports day tomorrow , we tackled balancing , obstacle courses and so much more Overall it was a very energetic and super busy sports lesson !

HEART MATTERS

This week in heart matters , teacher Hela focused on us being in control of our actions and behaviour , we did a fun little activity where teacher Hela would call out a scenario and if it was a bad scenario you had to shout “hold your horses” emphasising that you need to control what you feel and what you do.

Reminder : Tomorrow is our SPORTS DAY !

May everyone have a blessed weekend.

Autumn, Birds, Migration and Easter

It has been amazing to see how much progress the Crew is making. They are now able to follow simple instructions and make their artwork their own, which fills our teacher hearts with so much pride! Their faces lit up with joy when we created our tinfoil and water Easter egg art in the art studio—what a magical experience! These moments are so special, and I’m sure you as parents are just as proud of their achievements.

My House

My House

During our ring time sessions this week, we explored various types of homes—not just for humans, but also the clever abodes that animals and insects create or find. We even went through each room in a house, giving the Crew a clue to guess the room, which tied in perfectly with our activity where they built their own little houses with different rooms. We chatted about a range of homes, from tree houses and apartments to huts, caravans, teepees, and igloos. The Crew impressed us with how much they already knew about the materials needed to build a house—such a clever Crew we have!
