Dd – Daddy

Wow, what a jam-packed week of fun it has been. Between all the fun intra-murals, bike-a-thon and Father’s Day activities, there was so much fun to be had by all.

This week our Hoppers were very excited to talk about Dad and what sports they enjoy doing or watching with Dad. For our art, we made awesome “Superhero” spinner cards. Our Hoppers first coloured in the pictures, they then painted paper plates, and then we put our cards together. These came out so cute!

For our gifts, we made the most adorable key rings for Dad, our Hoppers all got to draw a picture of them with Daddy, and we laminated these to add to the key rings which we made from painted bottle caps and a cute little photo. These came out so special.

Cooking this week was also all about Dad, and we made the most delicious choc chip cookies…. yummy!

FunFit sport this week, we got to work on our monkey bars skills with coach Trevor. This was so much, and all our Hoppers did so well!

The Happy Hoppers could not wait for Thursday to show off their awesome racing skills, and when bike day arrived, it was filled with smiles and cheering.

To go along with the bike-a-thon, the children made their own certificates and medals. The Happy Hoppers coloured in their racing bicycle and got a “gold coin” for fabulous efforts to munch afterwards. Well done on a fantastic bike-a-thon day Happy Hoppers!

Happy Father’s Day to all our dads on Sunday, 18th June. We hope you enjoy all your special spoils!

Have an amazing long weekend, keep warm, chill, and remember to take your vitamins.

Our theme next week will be: Winter, Temperatures, Fire, and Ice.

Travel and Holidays

The Happy Hoppers used their imagination to go in a Holiday with an aeroplane. We re-enacted how to book our tickets, pack our bags, drive to the airport, and check in with our tickets. Lastly, we had a fun fly around with our arms stretched out wide! It truly was so much fun watching the children emerge themselves into the activity.

Cooking and Food

This week was all about cooking and boy did we have fun! For our first activity we focused on our fine motor skills by threading fresh fruit onto skewers. Our fruit kebabs were enjoyed by all the Happy Hoppers. Next, we had our taste buds dancing by creating our very own Calzones. We used wraps as the base, and the kids could choose their own toppings to put on. There was only one word for them: Yum!
