Ff – Farm

We have had a jam-packed week completing assessments. Please note that there will not be many art pieces going home as the assessments have taken up a lot of our time this week.

We started this week off with a continuation of the farm. We spoke about farm animals and the type of animals we find on a farm.

As we are learning about Farm Animals this week, we decided to teach the children about the life cycle of a chicken! We discussed this concept and watched a video. For our art piece we created the life cycle of a chicken, this was a sequenced art piece which promoted critical thinking, problem solving and fine motor skills. Our Hoppers created such amazing work that we will be keeping them for Art Expo!

For cooking on Wednesday, the children made “pigs in a blanket”, these were scrumptious!

On Friday, Tallyn from Busy Bugs, brought two little lambs for everyone to see. He showed us how he feeds them milk with a baby bottle. Our kiddies absolutely loved this experience!

Please remember to dose up your little ones with extra vitamins, it is getting a lot colder and there are lots of germs going around.

Our theme next week is: Wild Animals and Birds of Prey

Have a safe and lovely weekend!

We had so much fun discussing how special our dads are and what role they play in our families. We also discussed that some families don’t have daddies and that is fine cause moms are also there to love and help us. We love all our families big and small. We spoke about sports that some daddies like to watch or take part in like soccer, rugby, swimming, gym etc. it was great to hear these little Hoppers tell us how they feel about their dads.

The Farm: Farm Animals

This is such a wonderful and exciting theme to learn about. The Happy Hoppers loved learning about all the different farm animals and what they eat and drink and where they live on the farm. They also learnt about what mommy, baby and daddy animals are called and what they produce for humans e.g.: wool from sheep.
