IB Principle: Risk – Takers – We explained to the Squad that a risk taker is someone who’s brave enough to try new things, even if they’re not sure what will happen. It’s like riding a bike for the first time or trying a new sport. Risk takers aren’t afraid to make mistakes, and they learn from them. They know that taking risks can help them grow and discover new things about themselves and the world around them!

Writing and Phonics: This week the Squad focused on the “at” family and wrote sentences in their workbooks using the cat method. We are so pleased with how well they are progressing with their handwriting, focusing on finger spacing and placing the letters in the correct part of the “cat”. They also decoded words using sound buttons in their TimetoRead books. Great work Squad!

Mathematics: This week we focused on addition sums; the Squad used the counting on method to work out their sums as well as used concrete objects.

Creative Art: For art this week the children made their very own trucks using recycled materials, such as a yoghurt container and plastic lids. They were so chuffed with how these came out and they can’t wait for you to see them at the Art Expo. They also made planes out of paper that will be sent home this week.

Music: We are in full swing of practicing for our annual concert – the children are singing their hearts out. Keep it up.

Wishing you all a lovely weekend.

We wanna know folks ... what is your DREAM car?

The children loved sharing their own healthy habits and reminding each other, “Don’t forget the soap!” and “Drink your water!”
