Moral conscious theme: Caring – We explained how important it is to have respect, compassion and empathy towards the feelings and needs of others. We practiced this by complimenting our friends and showing how much, we care for them by filling their love tanks.   

Writing and Phonics: This week the Squad worked hard on remembering and reading their new sight word “cat” and “dog” – Please continue to practice sight words at home too. We also practiced letter formations “s”,” t”, and “u” in our workbooks, well tried Squad! We then engaged in an interactive worksheet activity where they clapped out the syllables of various words to identify their pronunciation. They then cut out pictures representing the number of different sounds they heard, such as the word “tow” only has two sounds, and the word “nod” has three sounds. They then pasted them into correct columns labeled 1-2. 

Mathematics: This week, the Squad engaged in a creative math activity, using earbuds dipped in paint, they dotted and matched the number at the top to the corresponding number of blocks at the bottom, practicing their one-to-one correspondence skills. We also tackled the challenging concept of counting in 2s, demonstrating remarkable perseverance and determination – way to go Squad, we’re beaming with pride! 

Creative Art:  The Squad were thrilled to receive their very own “house” templates, complete with blank sections waiting to be brought to life! With creativity and imagination, they drew and colored different parts of their homes in each block and then added the perfect finishing touches to decorate their masterpieces. The end results were absolutely adorable!
