Hi Smart Squad Parents
This week in class, we dove into the exciting world of wild animals and birds of prey. The children learned about lions, elephants, eagles, and owls each with their own special skills and habitats.
We also had a fantastic measuring activity. The kids used rulers, tape measures, and even their own hands and feet to measure objects practicing numbers and comparing lengths.
And a big highlight: the children made wild animals out of recycled boxes. They carefully cut out shapes, painted them, and created their own lions, giraffes, and birds. We’re so proud of them and we’re keeping these masterpieces for our big art show coming up in October.
Our first yoga class was super fun… 🥳
🌞We did a yoga story-song called “Going on a dragon hunt”.
🌞It works as a listening, sequencing and memory game.
🌞We listened to the instructions then demonstrated all the various poses, actions and breath work in the story.
🌞At the end I asked the kids questions to see what they remembered.
🌞Our poses included: tree, boat, bridge, cow, frog, mouse and lion
As always, finishing off with quiet time 🪷
Thank you also for all your support on Saturday at Sports Day We really appreciate it.
