🐸🐝 The Playful Pups Get Buggy, Froggy & Pond-Wild! 🌿

Hi Pup Parents! 👋

We’re back with another little glimpse into the busy world of our Playful Pups, and what a fun couple of weeks it has been! Our themes over the past two weeks have taken us into the fascinating world of Insects and Bees, followed by Frogs, Ponds, Rivers and Dams. 🐝🐸

This week, our little Pups have been particularly fascinated by frogs! We have been learning all about these rather amazing little creatures and, much to their delight, the Pups have had the opportunity to observe tiny tadpoles up close. They have learnt that these little wriggly swimmers don’t stay tadpoles forever, but will gradually change and grow into frogs. What a wonderful way to see nature’s magic happening right before our eyes!

We also watched a fun video all about frogs and discovered that frogs come in all sorts of wonderful colours. And of course, one of the biggest hits was watching those long, sticky frog tongues shooting out to catch little insects and worms! 🪰🪱 The Pups were completely captivated—although we’re not sure they quite appreciated just how useful a tongue can be until they saw a frog in action! 😂

📸 SMILE, PUPS!

This week was also a very important one because it was School Photo Week! And we have to say, we were incredibly impressed with how our little Pups handled themselves. With a change to our usual routine, lots of waiting, sitting still and being asked to produce those precious smiles on cue, they did an absolutely fabulous job.

Well done, Playful Pups! 👏 You made your teachers so very proud and, for the most part, made the whole process wonderfully easy. We think there may just be a few future supermodels amongst you! 😄📸

🧘‍♀️ YOGA & FUNFIT

Even with our busy schedule, we still managed to squeeze in our much-loved Monday morning yoga session with Teacher Nicole. A little stretching, breathing and quiet time was just what we needed to start the week.

Then on Wednesday, Coach Trevor arrived ready to put the Pups through their paces. Unfortunately, the weather had other ideas! With the rain pouring down outside, Coach Trevor simply brought the action indoors and put our Pups through their paces right there in the classroom. Who needs a sports field when you’ve got a classroom full of energetic two-year-olds? 😂💪

🎨 CREATIVE LITTLE CRITTERS

Our creative activities have been just as busy as our little bodies!

The Pups have been creating their very own “Bugs in a Jar”, and this week they turned their attention to making some rather unusual and wonderfully creative frogs. 🐸🎨

These little masterpieces are all being carefully put aside for our much-anticipated Art Expo, which is now only a few weeks away. We can’t wait to show you what our talented little artists have been creating!

🌿 A LITTLE POND-SIDE ADVENTURE

After several very rainy, classroom-bound days, Thursday brought us something we had been waiting for—the sun finally decided to make an appearance! ☀️

We weren’t going to waste a moment of it!

We headed off on a little nature walk to our pond to see whether we could spot any frogs or tadpoles in their natural surroundings. The Pups happily sat along the banks, watching the ducks, taking in the fresh air and enjoying the sunshine. 🦆🌱

Sometimes the simplest experiences are the most magical, and there was something rather lovely about watching our little Pups quietly enjoying nature after all the rain.

🏗️ WHAT’S NEXT?

Next week we’re swapping our frogs and bugs for something completely different as we dive into the world of Construction, Buildings and Factories! 🏗️🚧

We’re going to have to put on our thinking caps and see what our little Pups can come up with creatively. We have a feeling there may be plenty of building, stacking, hammering and imagining happening!

🌍🐾 Welcome Back, Playful Pups! 🇿🇦

And just like that… we’re back! After a little hiatus, our Playful Pups have returned for the first week of our third term, and what a lovely week it has been. We have jumped straight into our new theme of Countries and Cultures — admittedly, not the easiest concept to explain to a room full of two-year-olds! 😄

So, rather than attempting to explain the entire world just yet, we decided to start a little closer to home. We have been learning that we live in Africa, and more specifically, that our home is South Africa. 🇿🇦

We explored the beautiful colours of our South African flag, which, as our Pups quickly discovered, is also a wonderful opportunity to revise our colours! We have also been learning some of the many different languages spoken in our country by greeting one another in the mornings with Goeie môre, Sawubona and Dumela. We have listened to our National Anthem a couple of times too, giving our Pups a little introduction to the sounds and traditions that make our country special.

And then came the fun part… the South African Pups photo shoot! 📸🇿🇦

Today we headed outdoors for an impromptu photo session, with each of our Pups sporting a South African scarf, a fabulous backdrop featuring the map of Africa and, of course, a rather large toy elephant to complete the African theme. Our Pups are always keen to explore something new outdoors, and it seems that some of them are already pretty well versed in the art of posing for the camera. Others were perhaps more interested in investigating the elephant! 🐘😂

During free play this week, we brought out all our toy wild animals, which was a huge hit. Our classroom has been filled with lion roars, elephant trumpets and attempts at hippo grunts, with varying degrees of success! 🦁🐘🦛 There is certainly no shortage of imagination when our Pups get involved.

🧘‍♀️ A Yummy Yoga Welcome Back!

Our Monday morning started with a wonderful yoga session with Teacher Nicole, whom we hadn’t seen for a while thanks to the August school holidays. It took our Pups a little while to warm up and remember exactly what we were supposed to be doing, but they soon got back into the swing of things. There may have been a few more curious looks than perfectly executed poses, but we were very happy to have Teacher Nicole back! 🧘‍♀️💕

🏃‍♂️ Coach Trevor Is Back!

And, of course, our favourite Coach Trevor was back too! He had the Pups practising their ball skills, catching balls and then batting them using lengths of pool noodle.

This turned out to be a rather enthusiastic activity! Some of our Pups clearly have a future in competitive batting, and those pool noodles were getting some serious air time. Anyone unfortunate enough to be standing within swinging distance was advised to keep their eyes open — including Coach Trevor, who had to perform a few impressive ducks to avoid becoming part of the lesson! 😂

Fortunately, the pool noodles were soft, so everyone survived our return to sporting action with smiles intact.

🎨 Creative Little Pups

Our creative adventures continued this week as we completed our Spring flowers, which we started last week. 🌸

Today we also went on the hunt for some recycled baby formula tins, which we will be transforming into African drums as part of our creative explorations. The Pups were already rather excited about the tins and immediately discovered that the plastic lids make perfectly good drumming surfaces!

Something tells us that our African drum-making sessions in the weeks ahead may be slightly noisy… but definitely lots of fun! 🥁😄

❤️ And So, We’re Off Again!

It is lovely to have our Playful Pups back and to be starting our final term of the year. This is always an incredibly busy term, with so much still to look forward to — not least our upcoming Art Expo, which we are all working very hard towards making a fabulous celebration of our little artists and their creativity.

There is certainly plenty still to do, plenty still to discover and, judging by this week’s pool-noodle swinging and wild-animal noises, plenty of fun to be had along the way!

Dd – Dinosaurs

After the excitement and success of our “One Strange Rock” concert last Saturday, our Playful Pups have certainly been keeping the music alive! One of the absolute highlights this week has been hearing little voices enthusiastically breaking into renditions of “Singing Aye aye, Yippee yippee Aye!” at the most unexpected moments. It has become a firm favourite and has brought plenty of smiles to our faces. There really is nothing sweeter than hearing toddlers proudly singing songs they’ve learnt.

We continued our exciting Dinosaur theme this week, and as always, it proved to be a roaring success! Dinosaurs never fail to capture the imagination of our curious little learners. Together we explored the concepts of big and small, discovered that dinosaurs could make incredibly loud noises (our classroom has certainly had no shortage of enthusiastic roaring this week!), and learnt that some dinosaurs were plant eaters while others were meat eaters, which led to lots of discussion about those enormous, sharp teeth.

Our Pups fully embraced the theme by stomping around the classroom pretending to be giant dinosaurs, roaring as loudly as they possibly could. We were also rather impressed that a few of our little dinosaur experts could already tell the difference between a Tyrannosaurus Rex and a Triceratops—quite a mouthful for our little ones! We chatted about the Stegosaurus with its spiky plates along its back, the T-Rex with its tiny little arms, and the Triceratops with its three impressive horns. They thoroughly enjoyed exploring all our dinosaur toys and creating their own prehistoric adventures through imaginative play.

Monday morning wouldn’t be complete without our weekly yoga session, where our Pups stretched, balanced and enjoyed some calming movement before another busy week of learning. Coach Trevor also joined us for another energetic FunFit session, bringing along bats and balls that had everyone eager to join in. These activities are wonderful for developing hand-eye coordination, gross motor skills, balance and spatial awareness, all while having enormous amounts of fun.

Our creative activity this week also gave those little fingers a fantastic workout. The children carefully peeled tiny dinosaur stickers from their backing sheets, before creating their very own dinosaur collages. Peeling the stickers required plenty of concentration and fine motor control, and every single Pup was incredibly proud of their finished masterpiece.

What a wonderfully noisy, stompy, smile-filled week it has been! We have loved watching our Playful Pups learn through movement, music, imagination and play. Have a wonderful weekend everyone, and we look forward to another exciting week of adventures together!

Nn – Night

This week our Playful Pups blasted off on an exciting adventure as we explored the wonderful world of Space! 🌞🌙⭐

Without a doubt, the biggest hit of the week was learning all about rockets and spaceships. Our little astronauts absolutely loved counting backwards from 10 before launching themselves into space with lots of enthusiastic “3…2…1…BLAST OFF!” There were rockets zooming all over the classroom and plenty of giggles as imaginations took flight.

We also discovered that the sun and moon are part of space too. We chatted about how the sun keeps us warm during the day, while the moon often lights up our night sky. The Pups were fascinated to learn that there are millions of stars twinkling above us, even if we can’t always see them all.

Our weekly yoga session was another lovely way to start the week, and we are so proud of how much the children have improved. They are becoming more confident following the different poses and movements, and it’s wonderful to watch their concentration and balance developing.

Coach Trevor came charging into class ready to train our little space explorers for their next mission! Before long he was “launching” each Pup into space by lifting them high into the air. The squeals of laughter and endless cries of “Again!” filled the playground, and I think Coach Trevor may have needed a little rest afterwards! The Pups also tackled an obstacle course using our soft play equipment before practicing their balancing skills on the beams like true space adventurers.

For our creative activity, the children began making their very own rocket ships, which we’ll be finishing off next week. We have also started planning a beautiful planet mobile that will be displayed at our Art Expo, and we can’t wait to see it all come together.

Alongside all our space adventures, we’ve been busy practicing our concert songs and dance moves. We can hardly believe that next week our Playful Pups will make their very first concert debut in front of their parents and families! It’s such an exciting milestone. We’re hoping our little stars don’t get stage fright and instead simply enjoy every magical moment on stage. Whatever happens, we know they’ll make us all incredibly proud.

Welcome back, Playful Pups! After our mid-term break, we jumped straight back into another exciting week of learning, laughter and discovery.

Our theme this week was Reptiles, and our curious little Pups thoroughly enjoyed learning all about these fascinating creatures. Snakes were the stars of the show! The children were amazed to discover that as snakes grow, they shed their skin and leave it behind. We were lucky enough to show the class a real shed snakeskin. At first there were a few cautious little fingers and some very unsure faces, but it didn’t take long before curiosity won the day. Once the snakeskin was safely back in its display bottle, everyone wanted a turn showing it off to their friends!

Our creative activity this week saw each child transform a plain piece of card into a wonderfully scaly lizard. According to our Playful Pups, lizards come in beautiful shades of green, yellow and orange, and we certainly ended up with a colourful collection of reptilian masterpieces.

Monday morning saw the welcome return of Teacher Nicole for our weekly yoga session. We stretched our growing bodies, practiced balancing poses and finished with some peaceful breathing exercises and quiet relaxation time—a lovely, calm way to ease back into our school routine.

Coach Trevor was back in action midweek, putting our little athletes through their paces with stretches and press-ups to strengthen their core muscles before heading outdoors. The jungle gym and slide were calling, and there was plenty of climbing, swinging and laughter as the children developed their confidence, coordination and gross motor skills.

The biggest excitement of the week, however, has been spending time practicing for our upcoming concert, One Strange Rock. This year’s production celebrates our amazing planet—the beautiful world we all call home—and our Playful Pups are working so hard learning their songs and actions.

We simply can’t wait for 25th July, when we’ll be performing for all our wonderful families on our deck in the fresh air and sunshine, overlooking our beautiful Bull Frog Pan. There really is no better backdrop! We are looking forward to welcoming all our mums, dads, grannies and grandpas for a special “Picnic in the Park” morning as we celebrate our children’s hard work and cheer on our little stars.

🐾 Playful Pups Blog – Winter Fire & Ice 🔥❄️

Brrr… what a chilly week we’ve had! Our Winter Fire & Ice theme couldn’t have been more fitting as we chatted about the cold winter weather and why it’s so important to wrap up warm. We spoke about wearing beanies, gloves, scarves and warm jackets to keep our little bodies nice and cozy when we head outside.

We got our week off to a fantastic start with a fun yoga session that helped warm up our muscles and get everyone moving. Later in the week, Coach Trevor put our energetic Pups through a lively FunFit session filled with star jumps, push-ups, running on the spot and balancing challenges on the beams. There were plenty of smiles, lots of determination and, of course, a few rosy cheeks by the end!

Our creative activity this week was a favourite. The Pups painted a campfire using vibrant reds, oranges and yellows, but with a fun twist! We introduced a new painting technique where watered-down acrylic paint was dropped onto the paper and the children used straws to blow the paint upwards, creating beautiful flickering flames. When I told the class we were going to make a fire, several little voices immediately asked, “Will it be hot?” 😄 Their wonderful curiosity never fails to make us smile!

It has been another busy and exciting week filled with learning, laughter and creativity. As we finish today, we also begin our Winter mid-term break. We wish all our Playful Pups and their families a wonderful, restful week. To those lucky enough to be travelling—hopefully somewhere a little warmer—we wish you safe travels and a fantastic holiday.

We can’t wait to welcome all our Pups back on 6th July, refreshed and ready for another term of fun and adventure!

Hi and welcome back to this week’s Playful Pups blog.

Our week started bright and early on Monday morning with the Pups enjoying their yoga session with Teacher Nicole. As always, it was a wonderful way to begin the week, stretching our bodies, practicing balance and having lots of fun along the way.

Sadly, Coach Trevor was unavailable for FunFit Sports on Wednesday, but he has promised the Pups that he will make his much-anticipated return next week and put them through another exciting and energetic session. We know they will be thrilled to see him back!

Our theme this week was all about Recycling and looking after our planet. We spent time chatting about how important it is to care for the world around us and how every little bit helps. It is never too early to start learning about being kind to our environment.

We changed things up a little this week and got busy creating a fabulous piece of process art. Taking advantage of the beautiful sunshine, the Pups headed outdoors where they were free to paint and explore their creativity. Using a board made entirely from recycled and reused materials, including toilet roll tubes, egg cartons, bottle caps and pieces from long-forgotten puzzle sets, they enthusiastically splashed, dabbed and layered bright colours to create a truly unique masterpiece. They had an absolute blast and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

In another creative endeavour, the Pups also got started on their special Father’s Day cards. There has been lots of concentration, creativity and excitement involved, so watch this space as they continue working on them next week.

We have another long weekend ahead of us, with Youth Day being celebrated on Tuesday, 16th June, and Monday being observed as a public holiday. We hope all our families enjoy the extended break, have a wonderful time together and stay safe.

We look forward to welcoming all our Pups back on Wednesday for another week of learning, laughter and fun.

Hi everyone, and welcome back to this week’s Playful Pups blog!

Our theme this week was Transportation – Land, Air and Sea, and what a fun, busy week it has been exploring all things that move. We chatted about all sorts of transport, from cars and trucks to boats, planes, and even hot air balloons. The Pups were full of ideas and excitement as we zoomed, floated, and sailed our way through the week!

A big highlight has been our creative art projects. The Pups have been working hard on making their very own hot air balloons. They used bright finger paints to create colourful dots on the balloon canopy and carefully painted the baskets before everything gets glued together onto their display cards. We also made our own cars using half paper plates, which the children painted in a variety of colours before adding wheels and windows. They were so proud of their finished vehicles!

Of course, there’s always plenty of time for free play, and this week our classroom was buzzing with cars, trucks, and all kinds of transport toys. The boys especially enjoyed the big trucks and graders – lots of imaginative construction work happening all around!

We were also back into our routine activities. Teacher Nicole returned for our Monday morning yoga session, and the Pups are now becoming real pros at following the different yoga positions. It’s such a joy to watch them confidently copying Teacher Nicole and moving through each pose with growing control and focus.

Coach Trevor kept everyone active with a fun obstacle-style session. The Pups were jumping over small cones, balancing while carrying a ball, and then aiming carefully as they threw it into a container “goal”. They absolutely love this activity, and it’s always a challenge to get them to pass the balls on after their turn!

One of the most memorable moments this week came during ring time when we switched things up a little. One of our Pups, who is very confident with his colours, naturally stepped into the role of “teacher”. He held up each colour one by one, asking his classmates, “What colour is this?” and patiently waited for their answers. When someone got it right, he proudly shouted, “Well done!” and even called them by name. We captured the moment on video and had a good laugh afterwards – our little teacher took his leadership role very seriously! It was a wonderful reminder of just how far the Pups have come since the beginning of the year, with confidence growing every day.

Next week’s theme is a special one: Caring for Our World. We’ll be focusing on recycling and the importance of the 3 R’s – Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. We already know this is going to spark lots of creativity as the Pups explore fun and clever ways to reuse recyclable materials.

Back again for this week’s Playful Pups blog and what a noisy, giggly, animal-filled week it has been as we continued our theme of The Farm and Farm Animals!

We’ve spent lots of time chatting about all the animals you might find on a farm and the Pups certainly knew their stuff. Between the loud mooing of cows, ducks quacking away, pigs grunting and sheep going “baaaa,” our classroom sounded very much like a busy little barnyard at times. I’m sure some of the Pups could now qualify as professional animal sound experts!

Our art creation this week focused on making a fluffy woolly sheep in black and white, and the Pups absolutely loved getting creative with all the soft wool textures. One Pup kept insisting that he was the “black sheep,” which gave us all quite a good laugh and may possibly have been the funniest comment of the week.

Sadly, the Pups missed out on their yoga session with Teacher Nicole this week, but she has promised to make it up to us soon, which caused much excitement. Coach Trevor kept the energy levels high during Wednesday’s FunFit Sports session, taking the Pups out to the big playground where they climbed, swung and explored the jungle gym with great enthusiasm. Safe to say, anything involving climbing is always a winner with this group.

We have also welcomed a couple of new little ones into our Pups family this week, and we are so proud of how beautifully they are settling in. They are becoming familiar with our daily routines, making new friends and growing more confident in their school environment each day. Watching the Pups help and encourage one another is always such a lovely part of our classroom.

As we wrap up our two-week farm adventure, we are looking forward to an exciting new theme next week — Land, Air and Sea Transportation. Knowing the Pups, I suspect there will be plenty of loud engine noises, pretend aeroplanes flying through the classroom and perhaps a few traffic jams along the way!

Vv – Vegetables

Another busy, creative and slightly chilly week in the world of the Playful Pups! This week our theme was all about The Farm, Fruit and Vegetables, with a very important extra celebration added into the mix — World Bee Day. Safe to say, our classroom was buzzing with excitement from start to finish.

We kicked off the week with our usual Monday morning yoga session, which is always a wonderful way to stretch, wiggle and ease ourselves into the week ahead. There is nothing quite like watching a group of determined little Pups attempting yoga poses while also trying to spot what their friends are doing at the same time!

Our creative side was hard at work this week. We finally completed our fabulous paper plate lion heads, which are looking wonderfully wild and fierce. The Pups also enjoyed sponge painting broccoli — proving that even vegetables can become works of art in the right little hands. We spent time practicing our cutting skills using child-friendly scissors as part of our report assessments. Cutting is certainly no easy task at this age and requires plenty of concentration, patience and coordination. We were incredibly proud of our Pups and their determination and perseverance as they tackled this important milestone so bravely.

Our Bark Tree project is also coming along beautifully and is slowly turning into quite the masterpiece. We cannot wait to show off the finished creation once all the final touches have been added.

Wednesday brought much excitement as we celebrated World Bee Day. The Pups created the most adorable little bees, and several children arrived dressed in wonderfully creative bee costumes. A huge round of applause must go to our parents for all the effort put into the black and yellow outfits — our school was absolutely buzzing with colour and excitement.

One of the highlights of the week was a visit from our special Bee Man, who visits us every year to teach the children about the importance of bees and the incredible work they do for our environment. The Pups listened with great interest and, of course, the best part for many was getting to taste some delicious, creamed honey afterwards. Sticky fingers but very happy faces all around!

In between all the fun and creativity, Coach Trevor joined us once again for sports. This week the Pups practiced throwing “soccer” balls into a basket. Besides being lots of fun, these activities help teach important skills such as listening carefully to instructions, waiting patiently in line for a turn and counting the number of goals scored. There was plenty of cheering, excitement and celebration with every successful throw.

With the colder winter mornings making themselves known, there has also been plenty of running around to keep warm and burn off all that Puppy energy.

All in all, it has been a wonderfully productive and fun-filled week at school. We are already looking forward to next week as we continue learning all about The Farm and meet some of the animals that call it home!

Welcome back to all our Playful Pups families after our school holidays and what an exciting start we have had to our second term which kicked off on the 6th of May 2026. It is safe to say everyone was very happy to be back at school, reunited with friends, teachers, and all the fun that comes with being a Pup.

This week’s theme has been all about Wild Animals and Birds of Prey, and our ring time discussions have certainly been entertaining. The Pups absolutely loved looking at our theme board and identifying all the animals they could spot. Every animal came with its own sound effects of course! The lion received a very loud group roar from the class, while the hippo proved to be slightly more challenging, although the attempts at “hippo noises” were hilarious and had me trying not to laugh too much. We also spotted giraffes, zebras, rhinos, monkeys and cheetahs.

Our Birds of Prey discussion was just as exciting, especially when we spoke about the eagle. The Pups were fascinated to learn that eagles have incredible eyesight and can spot their food from very high up in the sky before swooping down onto their prey. Alongside all our animal adventures, we also spent time revising our colours, shapes and numbers during ring time activities.

Monday morning brought great excitement as the Pups welcomed Teacher Nicole back for yoga. There were lots of smiles as they stretched, balanced and attempted some rather creative yoga poses. Coach Trevor and a visit by Coach Amber were also back in action this week and took the Pups onto the playground for some outdoor fun. The jungle gym was a big hit as the Pups climbed up, slid down and bravely tackled the monkey bars with plenty of encouragement and assistance from both coaches. We have some little adventurers in our class.

Our creative lessons have also been in full swing this week. The Pups continued working on their collaborative art piece from last term by sticking bark onto what will eventually become a beautiful large tree artwork. They were also thrilled to begin working on their paper plate lion heads. There is something very special about handing a child a paintbrush after a holiday break — suddenly the classroom becomes a whirlwind of paint, and excitement. We will continue working on our lions over the next week as we slowly prepare for our upcoming Art Expo.

This term’s artwork is especially exciting because every piece we create over the next few weeks will be carefully saved for the Expo. We are taking our time, adding special details, and hoping to create many wonderful masterpieces worthy of gallery status… or at the very least, worthy of a very proud spot on the fridge at home.

We are also very excited to welcome a few new Pups to our class this term. We look forward to getting to know both them and their families as they settle into our daily routines, make new friends and become part of our happy little Playful Pups family.

All in all, it has been a wonderfully busy and eventful first week back. We are already looking ahead to next week’s theme, which includes celebrating World Bee Day on the 20th of May. The Pups are especially excited because we will have our very own bee spokesman visiting us for an entertaining and educational show all about bees. We have a feeling there will be plenty of buzzing excitement in the classroom next week.

Welcome back once again Pup parents — Term Two is officially underway, and it looks like it is going to be a very busy, creative and adventure-filled term ahead.

Hi Playful Pups Families 🌿🐾

Firstly, we hope all our families who celebrated Easter had a truly wonderful long weekend filled with special moments, a little relaxation, and maybe even a chocolate egg or two!

We are back at school for a short but busy week as we wrap up our very first term of the year — and honestly, where did that time go? It feels like just yesterday we were welcoming our Pups, and now here we are, already celebrating a term full of laughter, learning, and so many memorable moments. Time really does fly when you’re having this much fun!

This week, we missed our much-loved yoga session with Teacher Nicole, but we’re looking forward to having her back with us, in the new term.

Our theme this week has been Trees, Plants, Wood and Paper, and what a hands-on, exploratory week it has been! We’ve been chatting about where paper comes from, and our curious Pups have been connecting the dots between trees and the paper we use every day — big concepts for little minds!

We’ve also spent time out and about on our beautiful campus, taking in the magic of Autumn. The changing colours, crunchy leaves underfoot, and trees beginning to shed have not gone unnoticed. The Pups have loved observing these seasonal changes (and, let’s be honest, collecting as many bits and pieces as their little hands could carry!).

One of the highlights was our bark scavenging adventure. There’s nothing quite like the joy of peeling bark off trees! Back in the classroom, we explored the textures, snapped them into smaller pieces, and began working on a collaborative art project. Using recycled cardboard as our base, we are creating what is shaping up to be a magnificent tree masterpiece — one we’re very excited to showcase at our upcoming Art Expo.

Coach Trevor was back this week and had the Pups hard at work practicing their bean bag throwing skills. There were plenty of enthusiastic throws (some more accurate than others!), but every successful shot into the bucket was met with cheers, claps, and proud little smiles. We love celebrating every achievement, big or small and there were some proud moments this week!

To top it all off, we ended our term on a joyful note with a very special birthday celebration. One of our Pups turned the big 2! There was singing, dancing, cupcakes (always a highlight!), and of course, party packs to take home. A perfect way to wrap up a fantastic term.

We think it’s safe to say this first term deserves a big, cheerful high five ✋ for all the fun, creativity, friendships, and learning we’ve shared together.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back for Term 2 starting on 6th May, with plenty more adventures ahead.

To our families heading off for a break — travel safely and enjoy every moment. And to our Pups joining Holiday Club — get ready for even more fun, we know you’re going to love it!
