Wow, just like that, Easter has arrived!

We started off this chilly week with a progressive Easter card.

To reinforce our shape of the week, the children were given an oval shape patterned Easter egg to colour in and finger paint, along with some bunny ears.  This was a fun fine motor activity. For the inside of the card, the children drew an Easter Bunny!

To incorporate Autumn into this week’s art we made an Autumn tree. First a 3D tree trunk base was made where we crumpled brown packaging paper and added it to the trunk as “bark”, and then the Hoppers glued orange, yellow, red and brown torn up paper, pompoms and sweetgum seed pods and some feathers onto it. Safe to say that our Autumn trees came out SO beautifully! We will be using them in our Art Expo!

For our Easter egg hunt, we made the most adorable bunny baskets!

Happy Easter to our Happy Hoppers families, have a safe and lovely holiday!

See you next term!

Travel and Holidays

The Happy Hoppers used their imagination to go in a Holiday with an aeroplane. We re-enacted how to book our tickets, pack our bags, drive to the airport, and check in with our tickets. Lastly, we had a fun fly around with our arms stretched out wide! It truly was so much fun watching the children emerge themselves into the activity.
