Hello parents! Welcome back to Term 2! I hope you all had a well rested holiday with your families. It has really been busy from the get go!

We had our incredible Sports Day last week Saturday, which the children really enjoyed. I was so proud of the Happy Hoppers, they really did brilliantly!

This week we learnt all about Wild Animals and Birds of Prey.

The Happy Hoppers  started this week discussing what their favourite wild animal is and why. The answers were so cute!

The children listened to a moral story called the lion and the mouse and we then discussed the importance of being kind no matter how small you are.

We worked on our puzzle building skills, and for our numeracy activity our Hoppers were given rubix cubes, which they then had to build a tower of a certain number called.

The children enjoyed funfit sports with Coach Trevor, warming up their muscles and strengthening their little bodies.

We painted toilet rolls and decorated them and made binoculars for the one art activity. For our second art activity  the children painted paper plates and made a leopard mask. The children also put their creativity skills to the test and were asked to draw their favourite wild animal.

We ended off another productive week with our morning yoga, a trip to the library and our interesting show and tell.

Have a lovely weekend!

Winter, Temperatures, Fire and Ice

Hoppers got to experiment with some ice! They each got a chance to put a few drops of food colouring into water in an an ice tray. We waited for it to freeze and then each child got a chance to draw with their different colour ice.
