What an exciting and action-packed week our Smart Squad has had. This week, we jumped right into learning all about frogs and ponds, and what an interesting topic it turned out to be! The children loved discovering fascinating facts about frogs, pond life and the wonderful creatures that call these habitats home. There were froggies hopping left, right and centre as our little ones enthusiastically shared all the interesting things they already knew. 

Our week was filled with learning, exploring and plenty of fun. We continued working in our Time to Read books, practised our sight words and kept busy preparing for our upcoming graduation. Our Smart Squad have been working so hard, and we are incredibly proud of the effort they are putting into all their activities. 

Wednesday was extra special as we welcomed some lovely visitors from another school to EcoKids. The children were so excited to show our guests around and spend some time together. We then headed outdoors for a beautiful nature walk, where the children explored their surroundings and collected some wonderful natural treasures. It was such a lovely opportunity for the children to connect with nature, observe the world around them and share the experience with new friends. 

What a truly amazing day our children had spending time at our primary school!  

They had such a wonderful opportunity to explore, experience and get a little taste of what life will be like in “big school.” It was so special watching their excitement, curiosity and enthusiasm throughout the day.  They loved seeing the classrooms, meeting new faces and being part of the school environment. 

We are so incredibly proud of each and every one of them. Today was certainly a very special and memorable experience for our Smart Squad. 

Our creative side also came out to play! We enjoyed a fun art activity with Teacher Nicole, stretched and relaxed during yoga, and had lots of energy and laughter during our sports activities. There was never a dull moment! 

And, of course, our cameras were busy too! We had our individual photographs taken as well as our much-anticipated class photo. These special pictures will be wonderful memories of an incredibly special year in the lives of our Smart Squad. 

It truly has been a busy, busy, wonderful week filled with learning, friendship, exploration, creativity, and lots of happy moments. From frogs and ponds to nature walks, visitors, yoga, sport, art and graduation practice, our Smart Squad have certainly made the most of every moment.
