This week, our Smart Squad children blasted off on an exciting adventure through space. We had so much fun learning about the wonders of our solar system and discovering the beautiful planets, the shining stars, and the glowing moon. Our kiddos really impressed me with their general knowledge about space they really blew us away. 

Our little astronauts enjoyed talking about the Sun and learning that it gives us light and warmth. We explored the different planets and discovered that each one is unique. We also learned that astronauts wear special space suits to help keep them safe while exploring space. 

Throughout the week, we enjoyed a variety of exciting hands-on activities. The children created colourful space-themed artwork, built rockets with blocks, painted planets, and used their imaginations during dramatic play as they pretended to travel through space. We also listened to space stories, sang fun songs, and counted stars while practising our numeracy skills. 

In literacy, we expanded our vocabulary by learning new words such as astronaut, rocket, planet, moon, stars, Earth, and galaxy. The children loved sharing their ideas and asking wonderful questions about what they thought they might find in outer space. 

It has been another fantastic week filled with learning, creativity, and curiosity. We are so proud of our Smart Squad children for their enthusiasm and excitement as they explored the incredible world beyond our planet. We can’t wait for another week of learning and adventure together. 

 We played a phonics game where we placed a whole bunch of phonic CVC words on the carpet and then they had to find the word teacher Cee spelt out. Most of them seemed to love this game. 

 Our concert is just one week away and the build-up is just amazing. 

Yoga this week we did something special that we will be showing off at the concert.
