Vv – Vegetables

This week we learnt about fruits and vegetables on the farm. What a great theme in encouraging our little ones to eat healthy, especially with winter around the corner. We started this week with a theme discussion about fruits and vegetables; we spoke about our favourite fruits and vegetables and the difference between them.

This week our kiddies made a progressive art piece of a delicious pot of soup. The hoppers worked on their cutting skills, cutting out pictures of different vegetables in magazines. We then coloured in a pot and then they stuck on their vegetable pictures.

On Friday the children put their cooking skills to the test when they helped Chef Thembi in the kitchen to make yummy seven-veggie sauce for lunch.

It has been a very busy week with assessments, building puzzles and counting as well as concert practice and sports days practice!

Remember to dose up your little ones with extra vitamins, it is getting a lot colder.

Our theme next week is: The Farm: Animals

Have a safe and lovely weekend!

See you at Sports Day tomorrow!

Health and Hygiene

This week we became health and hygiene heroes 🦸‍♀️🦸‍♂️ We learnt how to take a bath, why brushing our teeth and hair is so important, and how to use the toilet hygienically. The children loved our pretend tooth-brushing activity where we brushed away sneaky germs and plaque, and we sang “This is the way we brush our teeth” with big smiles and wiggly bodies!
