It is always such a treat to be able to hear and listen to children’s plans for the future… they always have the most open minds and innocent thoughts and ideas and when you listen close enough, they may just alter the way you think about and process life and its decisions.

And this is exactly what we did this week!  We sat down to ask our Bugs who and what they wanted to be when they grow up, and the answers we got were priceless! From Pilots to Princesses, Vets to Teachers, Firemen to Policemen, and Mommies and Daddies too. We discussed EVERYTHING!!  From what the different occupations do during the day, to what they wear to work, the different protection needed for different jobs and how different people help our everyday lives.

Friday dress-up day was so much fun! Thank you for dressing so beautifully Bugs!  You little people are such a huge inspiration to your teachers and we can’t wait to see how your future turns out and what you really grow up to be!

For our art piece this week, the Bugs got to choose between being a policeman or a fireman and then painted a paper cup either blue or red and coloured in the corresponding badges for those professions. We put that all together and made the most adorable siren hats that our Bugs just loved to wear, making siren noises at the same time!

Just a reminder of our Sports Day on Saturday the 9th of April. Busy Bugs must please wear something Green. We have been “training” very hard with Coach Brad every Tuesday and our sports skills are really shaping up!

Have a lovely weekend!

Next Week’s Theme:

Construction, Building and Factories.

The Real Question ...

“The real question about life should be WHO you want to be when you grow up, not WHAT.

Faith is the blueprint of our dreams, action is the builder.”

This week our theme was Plants and Trees. During our theme discussions, we spoke about the many things we can make from trees. One idea that really stuck with the Bugs was paper—they reminded us throughout the week that paper comes from trees… hehe!

Autumn, Birds Migration and Easter

During ring time, we chatted about what colour the Easter Bunny is, hopped around like playful little bunnies, and learned about what bunnies love to eat. The Bugs had so much fun pretending and really brought the theme to life with their excitement.

My Pets

This week our theme was My Pets, and I can proudly say that this was one of the best weeks yet for the little Bugs! We had so many special visitors – from doggies all the way to snakes! It was so lovely to see some of the Bugs overcome their fears and spend quality time with animals they are not usually familiar with. They all did incredibly well!
