During ring time, we spoke about the different planets, looked at the beautiful colours of each one, and practised saying some of their names. The Bugs were so interested and loved learning all about space! 

Our art activities kept us very busy this week! We made our own little planets by water-painting them, adding shredded paper, and sealing them up. We also enjoyed an exciting foil painting activity where the Bugs dipped foil into paint to create a textured moon. They all did an amazing job, and we are so proud of their creativity! 

Yoga Morning 

This week’s theme was Space. 

Yoga song: Take a Rocket Ship to the Moon 

Yoga poses: Star Pose, Tipping Star, Mountain Pose, and Walking Downward Dog. 

Breathwork: Heart Breath, Candle Breath, and the 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 Grounding Breath. 

We ended our yoga session with some quiet time while listening to the relaxing sound of bubbles popping. 

During FunFit Sports, the Bugs enjoyed free play with Coach Trevor and worked on building their confidence by climbing up and down the jungle gyms. It was wonderful to see them becoming more confident and independent! 

We also had lots of fun with a playdough activity where the Bugs rolled the playdough into long “worms” before using scissors to cut them into small pieces. This was a fantastic fine motor activity, and they absolutely loved it! 

To finish off the week, we worked on another special Art Expo piece. The Bugs painted colourful lines on paper before creating a beautiful sunflower using tissue paper and yellow paint. We can’t wait to show you all of their incredible masterpieces!
