This week has been filled with so much excitement!

The Crew returned and had so much to say about their long weekend. We love hearing what they get up to!

We completed a worksheet that was a three-part activity. It allowed the children to really use the left and right sides of their little brain. First they had to colour a picture in, then they cut it out along the lines (as closely as they could) and lastly they had to build their puzzle/picture again by sticking it all together.

We were really proud of the Crew this week – they have grown immensely! During ring time we discussed all the different types of jobs that we get. Teacher Clarissa taught the Crew about the BIG word ‘occupations’. – Ask your child what the word ‘occupations’ means? This week’s theme was a real hit with all the children, they absolutely loved the topic of conversation.

For art this week the girls made their own little nail salon where they had to paint nails – they loved this! The boys enjoyed making a laptop, they coloured in the keys of their name for letter recognition. They all had so much fun!

Home Tip: Work through counting from 0-10 with your little one. In class we really try to get them to STOP on the specific number so that they learn to follow instructions. By the end of the week they really conquered this!

Next Week’s Theme: Construction

It has been amazing to see how much progress the Crew is making. They are now able to follow simple instructions and make their artwork their own, which fills our teacher hearts with so much pride! Their faces lit up with joy when we created our tinfoil and water Easter egg art in the art studio—what a magical experience! These moments are so special, and I’m sure you as parents are just as proud of their achievements.

My House

My House

During our ring time sessions this week, we explored various types of homes—not just for humans, but also the clever abodes that animals and insects create or find. We even went through each room in a house, giving the Crew a clue to guess the room, which tied in perfectly with our activity where they built their own little houses with different rooms. We chatted about a range of homes, from tree houses and apartments to huts, caravans, teepees, and igloos. The Crew impressed us with how much they already knew about the materials needed to build a house—such a clever Crew we have!
