LETTER

Tt- Trees

Our final week of Term 1 has arrived and what a lovely way to end it 💛

This week was all about finishing off our beautiful art pieces and getting lots of practise in for our concert songs and dances. As we keep saying in class, practise really does make permanent, and the children have worked so hard.

We filled our days with singing, dancing, painting, crafting, playing and plenty of giggling, and honestly, there is no better way to end a term than like that.

Our theme this week was Trees. We spent time reading folktales about trees and chatting about the life they bring to the world, from leaves and shade to all the little creatures that depend on them.

One of our most special art activities this term happened this week. The children we given frames that had the middle covered with sticky tape. We then went on a nature walk, where their only instruction was to fill their frame with things they found beautiful or special.

It was so lovely to watch them take their time, walking around and carefully choosing their pieces. Whether it was a stick, a flower, a dandelion or something tiny they spotted, each child found their own “just right” treasures. We spent a good 40 minutes outside exploring and collecting, and the end results were just beautiful and so meaningful.

What a truly special term this has been. I am so proud of our Crew and how much they have grown.

Have a wonderful holiday and a well deserved rest
We will see you all in Term 2!

Winter, Temperature, Fire and Ice

We started the week by creating a beautiful winter masterpiece. The children loved rolling cotton balls to make fluffy snow and building a 3D tree using old Checkers packets. It was such a fun way to show the children that even everyday items can be turned into something beautiful with a little imagination.
